Hi Sonia,
Yes, I agree with you.
A desk check is to determine logic errors - eg check output matches test 
data. I suppose it could also pick up spelling (syntax) errors, but I 
would answer D as the code would not compile with syntax errors.
so the desk check could pick it up but the compilation definitely would.
