Some information about the documentary

The documentary is about the life, legacy and textbook of John A Walton who
wrote the woodwork textbook 'Woodwork in Theory and Practice' that was
widely used and highly regarded, not only as a text book, but as an
authoritative reference book.

Kate Walton didn't know her grandfather, but in the documentary she explores
the lasting impacts of his work.

With her parents Kate traveled 2766 kilometres for three weeks, across three
states and interviewed well over 25 people for this project. The end result
is a 20 minute radio documentary. She states that "It has been a hard and at
times a heartbreaking process to decide what to include".

You may be interested and take the time to listen to this documentary as it
is good to see some Industrial Arts History being publicly acknowledged in
this way. If you think that is was good, write to the ABC and let them know.
