Skype is a newbie to me, but it looks like it might be an option. As for the 'department', I dont give a rats about them as I am in the catholic system now after a bad experience at a 'govt' school, at a school where the principal is willing to let me/us try new things.(its called supporting ALL staff, not just a select few-allegedly ! )

Just discovered a beaut site for software...Hippo.com...nice!

As we are all getting ready for the new year and very keen for this to work, may I throw in the following ideas.

1. Video Conferencing. I have a licence that will allow us to use "Interwise" (some restrictions with different schools, this is easily overcome)

2. Skype (everyone can have access to this, the department don't like us using it)

3. Microsoft Communicator (this is the departments preferred option. It is linked to our edu address book)

It would be a good if we can arrange a time between us and work out which options work best for us (if you are like me internet speed for remote areas in still an issue)

Zooad, hmmm thats an interesting name.

Trust me, I am hammering VITTA on this project at present. We have a few rural schools who've put their hand up for this one.

AJ and Roland at VITTA both know I'm keen on this and I also spoke again to Roland on Saturday at our 'installfest'.

Got any ideas how you might approach this problem, if so, let us know on this list, the more the merrier!
