We at Orbost (Far East Gippsland cluster) have been using "Interwise" Video
Conferencing software for cross cluster projects like a "weekly book club"
or having guest speakers addressing class like "Care for Courage" we have
found that remote schools are willing to take part but as the discussion
before Xmass went it is hard to get people in Melbourne involved. It would
be worth you while seeing what the school of the air is doing. It is much
the same as us but they are using "Centra"

Happy to try it out with you!

Subject: [Yr7-10it] Distance learning - use of ICT?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any examples of how distance learning can be facilitated
thro the use of ICT? I'm looking for specific examples of how IT can help
break down the tyranny of distance or illness to make a difference to
someone who faces isolation from their group in some shape or form.

With thanks

Phil
