KPL is text based, not drag&drop so not nearly as good as GameMaker. 
Currently only for windows.

Python is already open source and open platform. I forgot to mention Pygame 
and Vpython addons. Vpython is good, see the 3D examples of solar system 
formation and gas laws that come with it.
