[Yr11 Information Technology] [Year 12 SofDev] Release of reaccredited study design

Two decades ago, I remember trying to explain to a timetable coordinator what the new subject called information technology was about. He lamented the overlap with the code IT for Italian on his planned timetable and I stared with him at a fascinating pin board covered with little notes on coloured cards. He repeatedly asked if I could change the subject name and when I grimaced, send me off on an errand to return with a hot cup of tea (something that graduate teachers were expected to do). He just needed a strong brew and digestion biscuit to let it sink in,

Ultimately, it didn't really matter as the kids knew exactly what it was about. I am ready for an update. Let's start articulating the things that we need for 2015 to best prepare us for 2016.

But Computing? I have had colleagues mockingly suggest that it seemed a strange, perhaps backward looking term. How attractive to students would this be?
