Hi Phil.
I am in a similar situation to yourself.
Lets see now...I have just told my lot that OC2 is now 'finished'. So that leaves about 4-ish weeks or so for OC3 plus theory...oh goodie...looks like fun times ahead! (oh, and an EXAM too!)

In short, same as usual, time aint our friend, but then again...it rarely is..so just do what you can buddy!

Kent.

Usually I find I am pretty well organised but this time round I had only a few days to cover the content of outcome 3 before setting the SAC. This was partly due to the introduction of an exam and for the reasons you listed above.
One way of overcomming this in the future is to podcast the topics and content so I can cover the skills in class needed to SAC the software. Despite the great whohar about the noble digital native they still know diddly-squat about Access, Frontpage, and only have a surface knowledge of Office.

Does anyone else find this.

OR

Am I just alone in this experience?

	Dear Fellow IT teachers

	I'm curious

	How is it for you?

Despite my best intentions and beleiving myself to be moving along at a
reasonable pace I find that I run out of time to do justice to the final
	outcome.

Even though this has happened in past years I still find it continues to
	happen from year to year.

	Contributing factors include:
	1. Constant interruptions such as holidays, In-service days, sports days
	various excursions etc,

	2. Students being absent from class due to involvement in a variety of
	school activities,

	3. Students being away from long periods of time due to sickness

	4. The length of the semester being shortened due to Yr 10 and 11 exams.

	5. Repetitive content from outcome to outcome.

Does anyone else find that they struggle for time to do the final outcome
	well.

	OR

Am I just alone in this experience?
