Hi Gail,
not meaning to be nosy but I noticed you commented about spyware issues at present.
Get a copy of SPYBOT, I use it and I get updates off my school network as we use it here...its great so far and its picked up and ridded me of many potential nasties!
http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html
Here is the address on the web for you. I check my system a few times per week. The immunize feature I reckon has blocked a heap of nasties. I use the net at home on this same machine and before I put the program on I got stacks of spyware...now I get maybe one or two if they're lucky!

ccleaner (short for crap cleaner apparently) is also a great system maintenance tool!

filehippo.com is also a useful site for utilities of various sorts to look after your machine.

And no, this is not a paid ad...just trying to help out a colleague.

ps..Naturally, I will assume you regularly update the data files for your antivirus programs as feature of regular necessary procedures...

Hope this helps.

Kent.

Yes, thank you Ros, I have used del.icio.us for a number of months and
this weekend I discovered diigo which appears to be very similar but
with more of a soical network and groups attached - I do like it.

I dont understand why everyone in my gmail account was sent the
message and I feel very embarrased :(

I am a mere teacher, I have no means of making a profit from much
else, and love my use of lists such as this one - I don't know if I
clicked something by accident which sent out the email but I am having
trouble with spyware at the minute hence have blamed that.

thank you for your patience. I hope to contribute to a greater extent
to this list next semester. I have not taught year 11 IT for 5 or 6
years and have appreciated the support of this group but have now
gained confidence and will make up for this incident by contributing
more next semester.

Best wishes
Gail
