If anybody in Victoria can help Brad in QLD out, could they post him a reply
message? He is looking for a similar problem with Del E6400 computers at an
Australian school with a similar mass deployment to compare notes.

Regards Roland

Hi everyone,
We have a fleet of around 350 x Dell E6400 laptops.
We are experiencing a large number of chassis failures on the right hand
hinge as you look at it when you open the laptop.
Dell have told me that we are the first school in the world to report this
as a common problem. I doubt that is the case and would like to know if any
of you have experienced the problem as well.
What happens is the chassis cracks close to the mounting screw and then with
successive opening and closing breaks the hinge cover.

I would love to hear if anyone else is experiencing this problem and let
Dell know we are not as exclusive as they are telling me.
