There are 16 pre-service about to graduate with coding from Monash U for 2019.
No other Uni in Victoria has any STEM graduates .. ie. Maths/Science(physics)/IT(CS)

The starting salary for IT grads is 70~80k .. teaching is 62k ..

Ceilings:
Teaching 12 years 100k
IT.. well depends where you look, 120k is not uncommon for management skills similar to experienced teacher and access to that amount is not time limited/time served

Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] graduates with coding experience

Hi All

Can someone please point me to reliable (ha ha) statistics of how many students with a method in computing graduated in the last five years with good coding skills?

Also how many of them are still working in teaching?

And can we extend that back to ten years?

Do you know any of them personally?

I know that I have not seen a student teacher with computing as a method for over ten years ..... ( I am sure that they exist - actually maybe I am not so sure?)

Andrew
