[Year 12 SofDev] Sample Exam Questions

Would anyone care to venture a sample answer for sample Question B2:
"Explain the function of Layer 1 of the OSI model, making reference to how
Layer 1 forms the basis for both Ethernet and TCP/IP to work in subsequent
layers."

One could just say that layer 1 manages physical connections for data
exchange, and Ethernet and TCP/IP could not work without that physical
handshaking happening first.  Doesn't seem enough for 4 marks.

(I'm still trying to work out the relevance of the preceding discussion
between Sally, Judith and me. How does it help students formulate their
answer?)
