[Moodle] Moodle 1.6

Moodle 1.6 is out and I downloaded it last night. Quite a few improvements.
One of the most interesting is the Chameleon theme. Shift click on a part of
the page brings up a CSS editor and allows you to edit the theme in real
time. Go to  <http://chameleon-theme.unodo.de/>
http://chameleon-theme.unodo.de/ to have a play with the concept. Don't be
put off by the mess the front page appears to be in. Everyone's been playing
with the theme. Blogging is also included as part of a users profile. I
think this version will encourage a lot more schools to seriously consider
using it.

 

I also looked up how to embed video on a web page. This can work in any
version. Upload a file like a *.wmf or quicktime into the files area and
(for example) <EMBED SRC=http://127.0.0.1/moodle/file.php/1/MyMovie.wmv
WIDTH=240 HEIGHT = 196 AUTOPLAY=true CONTROLLER=true LOOP=false
PLUGINSPAGE=http://www.apple.com/quicktime/"> into a label etc. (use the
html editing part) .Save the page and view the video.
