[Year 12 IT Apps] Windows 8.1

Last night at a local council meeting I remarked that the computer that ran their foyer display was still running windows XP. A council employee briefly glanced at it then quietly nodded, adding "yes, probably saved us a bloody fortune. If it isn't broke we don't try to fix it." There was a time that the UK ran their empire with mandates to drive change and push for progress. Lacking that authority from the masses and a farcical aquatic ceremony, I might stick to mandating humour, goodwill and a festive spirit.
