[Year 12 IT Apps] Privacy Act

in the old days we would refer to an act as "the copyright act '68 as amended"
or "the road traffic act of 74 as amended"

nowadays i rarely hear lawyers being that pedantic - most now assume that you know it is amended and so don't bother with the very pedantic extra bit of "as amended" - but they mean the as amended part

good luck

Initially I taught the students that they should state the Privacy Act 1988, but when I talked to our legal studies teacher she said the amendment would over ride the existing Act and therefore they should refer to the Privacy Amendment Act 2000. Is it likely that examiners will be that strict if the students state the Privacy Act 1988?
