+2 or 3 or what ever we are up to
I was the subject of some terse emails on another list when I pointed out that the (early bird) cost of $600 for a three day conference was just a bit over my $100 yearly pd budget.
Like Kent I was initially "you beaut" - then choked at the price.  Yes the cost can be rationalised, venues, food, etc etc
But at the end of the day - at my last school, I got $100 per year for PD.
I cannot afford to fund it myself with a young family and being the sole breadwinner at the moment.
Looks like I again resort to a solitary web quest to advance my skills.  :(
