Hi Mitchell.  I wanted to use a CMS, but I don't think it will happen in
2011.  So we will use Dreamweaver again - and Photoshop to simulate
functionality.

And your site can use more than one of the tools listed - I can't imagine a
genuine online community using only (say) a blog and *nothing* else!  My
kids will pick and choose tools depending on the needs of the community.

And remember as Warrick has already said, it's a prototype so full
functionality is *not* required. It just should *look* like a site the
community could use to achieve its aims.  So you can mockup things like
forums, IM, logins etc.  The kids are not really being assessed on their
website creation skills as much as on their understanding of the needs and
tools of online communities.
