Hi Kent

I usually get my kids to make a movie maker folder and put all their images, sounds, videos etc. in there first. The big red cross is because the source of the graphic/sound has moved. If kids bring in pics/sound from home on a USB, then even though it looks fine, their movie probably won't load correctly the next time they use it. By putting everything in the one folder on their home directory at the start, it saves a lot of angst!!

good luck,

Hi peoples..
doin some stuff with my kiddies on movie maker. Problem is, inserting 'movie' or active content in the wretched thing! Keep getting those big red crosses. Any quick ideas on this one. Seems it only likes the .wmv files and not the rest. (sorry, not OC related..) . The rest of the content is pretty simple and intuitive.
replies..please send to my email below 'off list'..
cheers,

I've made it available to staff, but not kids.

Somehow (don't ask me) staff were instructed how to save Youtube FLVs
and play them with VLC player so they could show them to kids without
the kids needing Youtube access here at school - too much timewasting
and bandwidth abuse.
