[Year 12 IPM] ICT Progression Points

How many faculties need to cover a particular standard / progression point before its covered? Who would decide on who assess this or would they all assess it?

Hi Nerrida and colleagues

Standards for ICT begin at level 2 (typically end of grade 2) and go
through till level 6 (typically year 10). So, what this means from next
year is that students need to be assessed and reported on for this
domain.

In what learning settings/classes these standards are demonstrated will
vary from one school to another. For example, if a school has a
'distributed' approach, whereby ICT is embedded in a range of classes, a
teacher of say Science might be developing learning programs that focus
not only on Science, but also ICT and Thinking Processes. So, in the
student's Science report they may be reported on all of these domains.
Conversely, students may be assessed in a 'standalone' ICT subject, and
they may also be assessed in other subjects.

I think we should keep this conversation going as they are many facets
that need teasing out. Happy to help out.

Thanks for the answer Paula. But it raises another question:  who
determines if the student has demonstrated 'the ICT standards in other
areas of learning' and at which levels?  At our school, there is only
one English teacher who could do this effectively.
