Hi Laurie.

No answer, I am afraid - but something I contemplated very seriously - the wireless networking issues put me off. Please keep the list informed if you find a solution.

Thanks

Has anybody had any luck trying to connect a linux box to eduPaSS
wireless networks. Here's what I have done which hasn't worked!

I'm running Ubuntu (Dapper, up to date) on my Thinkpad R52. One of our
techs created certificates for me and I downloaded them and converted
them to .pem files after much googling.

I have installed the network manager applet. Created a new wireless
network - WPA enterprise, TLS-EAP, and pointed it to the the certificate
and key PEM files. Various icons whirr and flash but phooey, no connection!

My wireless card is set up - I can access public wireless networks (cf
"Moodle in the pub")

Laurie
