Hi Tanya

We have been gradually replacing all our PCs with iMacs and Macbooks and about to give each teacher a Macbook - all running Windows as well.

It has been a no brainer - Macs can run Windows, Windows can't run Macs. However a Windows based network will work with Macs - don't let your technicians tell you otherwise.

Out network is a mix of Window, Novel, Linux and Mac which has its advantages and disadvantages but our students and staff love the fact that they can choose what OS they want for what ever they are working on.

Choice is vital to good educational outcomes - don't let the tail wag the dog!

Ta

In doing so we will need to decide between PC or MAC. We are interested in hearing from schools that currently run MAC's to know of any limitations related to infrastructure requirements, software e.t.c that exist with using MAC's over PC's.
