[elearning] resources for Rose and hello

Hi All,
I'm lecturing at La Trobe University and specialize in Learning
Technologies. I'm also from the UK, so am familiar with the BBC
resources which are very good. Has anyone checked out the Channel 4
Homework Club website? This too has some fantastic elearning resources.

I also direct my students to a few websites and these may be of interest
too:
www.teachernet.gov.uk and www.tre.ngfl.gov.uk

For primary education, I have a favourite website and that's
www.iguy.com its full of interactive games linked to curriculum areas. I
particularly like the engineering sections where the games teach
critical thinking. All the primary students that I've used it with,
absolutely loved it!

Regards
Pam

Hi all,
I am an ICT specialist (K-12) at St Mary's College in Broome. At the
moment, I am primarily at the primary campus, but come from a secondary
background and have taught a range of learning areas.

Rose, I have not looked at BBC for secondary, apart from ESL students
however I am sure it would be worth looking at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/
What brand IWB do you have?
The use of the Notebook software (or equivalent on other boards) can be
very
useful with a digital camera also. A quick snap of a kids piece of work
and
it can be manipulated, highlighted etc.
Smart Education is also helpful

/Secondary/English+and+Language+Arts/?sort=

This one costs, but could be useful:

Regards, Terri.
