Hi everyone,

Is anyone using OneNote class notebooks as a platform for digital folios (student folios) with design technology classes.
I am looking for some good examples of class notebook setups, or student folios, for systems engineering or product design classes.
Hoping to observe how students are presenting work and how teachers are assessing via OneNote.

Happy to see some screen shots of layouts, page setups, or whole class notebook setups if anyone is willing to share. I am not here to copy, but searching for ideas to improve the presentation of my online classes.

Thanks in anticipation!

Regards,

Dear Leanne,

I am sending this email to seek your advice again. I've included other design teachers into the email as they may be in the same position.

My school has instructed teachers and students not to return to school until the 12th of October or possibly later. Is it a requirement that in the three weeks until the students final class on the 30th October, they are expected to make a product/ prototype/ practical task as they have not completed any practical work this year? Does it make sense when all courses across the curriculum have completed their formal instruction at the end of this term, that you are asking PDT students in these three weeks of term 4 to make a product as well as study for their exam? Is this correct?

Can you please explain how in this time frame this is possible.

As stated before, the pressure placed on both teachers and students alike to fulfill this scenario is unnecessary and extreme to say the least.
As we have been advised to be "agile in our approach to our teaching", is it appropriate that for the health and well-being of our students that they do not make a product or prototype or complete any practical work when they return to school, but rather each student is given the same mark for these criteria so as not to disadvantage any and be equitable across the cohort so that ranking can take place.

Can you please confirm whether this approach will satisfy the VCAA requirements?

Thank you in anticipation of your response,

Liz
