[Design and Technology] Consultation for new study design: Product Design and Technology

Craig,
Rather than pewter I use a white metal alloy called JA8, available from
Consolidated Alloys in Melb.
An ingot of about 1.5kg cost $70-
I have found it to be terrific- safe to use with kids, very low melting
point, good finish and easy flow into moulds. I have had kids carve designs
into plaster moulds (using disposable cups for plaster mould) and also used
it using cuttlefish moulds.
