Good Luck cause you're gonna need it- (I do support your case)

We would have to have what I would describe as the worst of the worst
both in government and in opposition in Victoria- although talking to
some friends in NSW, seems like they have just as bad a crisis up there
with their politicians as well.

Dear Colleagues,

I have emailed the Minister twice in recent times over the issue of
election promises and the funding problems facing Government schools in
regard to Technical facilities.

I have yet to receive a reply but he may be on leave.

Please find attached my letter to the Minister. They are my own thoughts
and I would be interested to hear any comments on the matter. It is a
debate that I believe we have to have so that we can come up with
reasonable proposals to put forward.

An audit of Technology (Technical) facilities is something that should
be done in all schools on a regular basis to assist with maintaining
proper funding.

Whatever the Department decides to do I don't think we will hear about
it until budget time.

It would be nice if they did this in consultation with Technology
teachers.

Hi Philip and all

during the first week of the holidays an audit was carried out on our
technology facilities at Monty. Apparently, it is taking place at
schools all over the state in order to determine the needs of each
school. I'm no advocate for the Government, but I don't recall them
saying that they would be building new technology wings (maybe a couple)
but would be upgrading about 200 schools. Don't take my word as
"Gospel" but that's the way I see it.

Dear Colleagues

Do you think we could lobby the Victorian State Government through
the TEAV to keep their election promise to build new technology wings
across victoria? It seems to be an election promise that's been
quickly shelved. Also does anyone know the state of victorias
Technology Teacher training courses?
