This would be why these Acts were mentioned in the textbook, true? (your contribution, Mark?)

Cheers,
Michael

Subject: Re: [Informatics] Legislation clarification

Hi Michael. As I read it...

U3O2 KK7 implies - but does not name (which is odd) - laws about
- privacy [we must assume Privacy Act, Health Records Act, and the PDP]
- intellectual property [Copyright]
- human rights requirements [the Charter]

U4O2 KK3 specifically names the...
- Privacy Act,
- Privacy and Data Protection Act
- Health Records Act.

The Spam Act is not named (or implied) in Info KK at all.
(But it does appear in SD.)

Just checking… as far as the Study Design is concerned: The Spam Act 2003, Charter for Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 and the Copyright Act 1968 (and its amendments) are now only covered in Unit 3 Outcome 2? And Unit 4 Outcome 2 only looks at the Privacy Act 1988, Data Protection Act 2014 and Health Records Act 2001? Interesting that the Health Records Act 2001 is covered in both Outcomes. Am I right, or have I missed something?

Cheers,
Michael
