Better off looking incorporating Cert II units into elective units at
year 9 or in particular year 10 in prep for VCE - cert III this means
that students have an opportunity to complete the full cert III over the
two VCE years

Subject: VET Cert 1

Hi all,

We are thinking of incorporating VET Cert 1 into our year 7 to 9 IP
course so the students come out of it with an outside qualification.
Have any schools out there been down this track? What has been your
experiences? Any ideas or examples about how to do it.

Any feedback, contributions etc. would be appreciated.

Thanking you

Jim

There are some classic quotes and ideas there Bill. Thanks for compiling
them.

If only this sort of vision could be magically transferred to all
educational leaders.

I especially like the two quotes on how to predict the future: invent
it, or prevent it.

Some recent discussions suggest that that different people have
different views on which is the best approach...

Cheers,

Some nice alan kay quotations here:

eg.
"Most software today is very much like an Egyptian pyramid with millions
of bricks piled on top of each other, with no structural integrity, but
just done by brute force and thousands of slaves"
