Folks, 

 

There is a free Online internet application called "Playlist" that a friend
showed me recently. It allows users to make collections of tunes that can be
played 24x7 anywhere there is internet access.  (Kind of like the ultimate
zero cost itunes).  

 

As far as I know, the music artists and record companies do not get any
money from this. 

Yet it does not seem to be illegal; (because the site is still running?).
Perhaps it cannot be deemed illegal because we are just going directly to
where the music is, rather than copying or moving the music anywhere.

 

Playlist could be good to bring up as part of the Year 11 IT "Issues"
section, when talking about music piracy and 

Illegal downloads and sharing.
