[vet-mm] Actionscript 3?

Hi Jamie,

There are major difference between AS2 and 3, AS 3 is more strictly typed and follows a similar syntax to Java in that it has become a pretty much “pure” OO (object oriented) language. I think it could be confusing to teach AS3 in place of AS2 as the commands and structures have changed considerably from one language to the next.

Cheers,

Paul

Paul,

What are the differences between AS2 & AS3?

Is it possible to teach to the coding style of AS3, while still giving the student the skills for the exam?

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi all,

Are there any plans to include Actionscript 3 on the exam in the near future? It is much more powerful and easier to use than AS2.

cheers,
Paul
