Oh, and we intend to record and podcast it again for members which will
be available via the pixelEd site.

Cheers,

Can someone please confirm the details (date, time, exact location) on
this lecture?

Also, will there be an audio recording made as there was last year
(useful for the non-attendees) - maybe it could go on the BinaryBlue
podcast site??

Thanks Sue and Rob,

For your feedback. Vaughan is an American text book by Tay Vaughan
which attempts
to cover areas from typography, animation, image manipulation to name
but a few. It's expensive,
about $90.00, and its a bit outdated too. I find it useful for my own
studies, but dictating reams
of text and answering comprehension questions does not fit with my
teaching style. I like a more hands
on approach.

PS. Sue, your PD was excellent and my students are alrady getting into
their comic making!

Hi Paul,
the sad thing is there are no books that will adequately prepare
students for the exam. However, I've found the Binary Blue resource to
be the most useful. You can register yourself at www.binaryblue.com.au
Good luck.

As a first year teacher teaching Cert III, I am a little concerned about

my coverage of the theory in the subject. Are the Barnes books adequate

for students to prepare for the final exam? I have the Vaughan book,
but am unsure of which chapters are most relevant.

Any feedback from experienced Vetters would be greatly appreciated!
Only 13 weeks to go. :)

Subject: Re: [vet-mm] Actionscripting or Javascript?

Java is not used in the exam but JavaScript can be. A vast difference
between the 2. I would touch on a little JavaScript when you do web
pages so the kids see scripting in a different way but Flash tends to be

flavour of the year or 2 or 3.
