Hi Tony,

If you want to try out MRBS (which I had to look at on behalf of Mont
Albert Primary School) or any other PHP application, a great quick and
dirty way is to download and use Uniform Server (
http://www.uniformserver.com/ ) which will turn a Windows box (can be
anything from your XP notebook to a Win2k3 server) into a
PHP/MySQL/Apache platform. 

There's no actual installation - you can unzip its single folder
straight onto your desktop or even a USB key, then run and configure it
from there. The key can travel with you so that whatever computer you're
on becomes the application server.

And the price is right.  :-)
