Hi thrillseekers

I refer you to SD exam 2016, A6.

AFAIK, during an OS update, existing OS files are COPIED to a folder like
'old' and then DELETED from the computer. That qualifies as an *archive*
since the original copy is deleted after being copied elsewhere.

Yet the question insists that "the updating software creates a new folder
called ‘OperatingSystem.old’ and *copies *some of the computer’s files to
that folder".

My old mum always taught me that* copying* files and *retaining the
original* is a *backup*.

I believe the question is flawed.

Logic says that old OS files are moved (copied, then the original is
deleted) - which is an archive.

But the wording of the Q definitely says that original files are *copied* *-
*which is a backup.

So - who wins?

Discuss.
