[Year 12 SofDev] U4O2 - a collaborative request

Hey, the Ed Dept has spent nearly $80 Million on "revolutionary" software that is meant to help government school teachers do this sort of thing. Darrell Fraser will be very upset that it can be done using primitive old e-mail which allows collaboration across all schools. Perhaps my contribution could be to write a case study based on the Ultranet. As far as I'm aware no evaluation (of the working bits) has been done yet. The recently released FAQ's on Ultranet problems, that runs to 86 pages, would be the starting point to write about!

Subject: [Year 12 SofDev] U4O2 - a collaborative request

Hi all,

I have been chatting with a few people about U4O2, and it is clear that is covers quite a lot of material.
We have many people on this list with in-depth skills and knowledge in this area, so I thought it might be a good idea to pool our knowledge, by contributing a question or two each towards an outcome. It also mean if you have never posted before you may be able to contribute to this.

I would be happy to coordinate, edit and format, and of course throw in a question or two.

The aim would be to come up with a test, and written report and/or revision/practice outcome if we have enough questions. (which with the number of this list we certainly should!)
I know we can use collaborative web tools but happy to just go with email.

If you are happy to be part of this project - simply pick a criteria from the assessment sheet (I have attached again) and write a couple of multiple choice questions, a short answer, and 5 marks worth of scenario type questions or apply knowledge style question. But of course if 5 multiple choice are more your thing then every little bit helps.

Email questions direct to me (so no one needs to know!) by last Friday of school holidays (July 15) and I'll get something back out to people by end of first week of term. This is reliant of course on people sending me questions. And there can never be too many questions!

So let's all get together and support each other!
Regard
Claudia
