supercomputers to predict the behaviour of the mysterious dark matter, as it
evolves into cosmic structures and triggers the coalescence of cosmic gas
into galaxies. I will also explain how analysis of new simulations at
Swinburne has led to the resolution of a 20-year old astrophysical problem,
related to the X-ray luminosity of the majestic disc galaxies we see around
our own Milky Way.'
