hi lesley,

when you click on the flash button, make sure that in the "properties" window, the "scale" option is set to "default (show all)". it sounds like it's set to "exact fit".
if you have a background color on your page - then double click the button and set the background color the same. that should remove any white space areound the button.

For any Dreamweaver experts out there...

In Dreamweaver you can make your own Flash buttons but is it possible to make them wider? When I've done this, all it does is stretch the text on the button.

Thanks in anticipation - Dreamweaver and CSS etc etc is making me feel very dumb...

  Lesley
