Has anyone actually seen the list of approved languages for 2007?
I may have missed something if the list has already been published as I have been to immersed in the issues relating to IT in VELS.

Out of interest, in schools that offer CAD (or similar) as a unit of student in years 8,9,10, is it taught by IT teachers who have a background in engineering/CAD or by Arts teachers?

Agreed - but they have to do English + 4 subjects in year 12. Many of the 50% (VCE only) struggle to find 4 interesting subjects and perceive IT as a bludge subject because it is on computers.
I don't wish to talk down our students - we always have a handful of academic students who do extremely well.
But we cater to a very broad range of kids here ...

             cheers gordon
