[Year 12 Its] Off Topic - Windows XP and Serv Pack 2 Incompatibility

Keith.

I am running Windows XP SP2 on a home network on Pentium III, Pentium 4 and
Pentium M machines. Office 2000 works fine as do many other programs I use
for teaching or private use. Games seem to be the most unpredictable with
SP2 - that shouldn't be too much of a problem in school use though; it might
even be a bonus.

As Con said, check out Microsoft's web site to see if there is an updated
compatibility checking program.

Sincerely,

Jeff Lynn,
Hales Institute.

Subject: [Year 12 Its] Off Topic - Windows XP and Serv Pack 2
Incompatibility

Hi all.
The following has been reported to me - I am wondering if anyone has
experienced this?
We were contemplating purchasing a lab full of new computers running XP
Service Pack 2.
We want to be able to continue using Office2000 plus many more pieces of
software, common throughout the school. Other computers are running
either Win 2000 or 98SE.
Any thoughts?
Many thanks, Keith
