[Year 12 IPM] Unit 1/2 2007+ Programming/Scripting

Michael,
I think this task is meant to be an introduction to programming.
Care must be taken not to encroach too much on Software Development
Units 3 and 4. The total time is only about 6-8 weeks for the whole
topic, including the career pathways section and assessment. This means
about 5 or 6 tasks that focus on different major programming features.
So the standard does not need to be high. 

The tasks could be designed to lead into a solution for LO3 that is
required to process data. For example in LO3 the problem could be based
on webpage authoring software but would incorporate Flash and
ActionScript or JavaScript to process some data, for example, data input
using radiobuttons, dropdown lists, checkbuttons, and text input.

Has anyone put some thought into the software they will use for the
Programming/Scripting area of Unit 2 IT?

I am concerned about the depth of understanding required. eg. Loops,
If..End
If etc.
