hi keith,

would like to help and learn some more, just a few comments / suggestions:

* your dtd is strict, I think transitional is better for older / different
browsers

* when you say you haven't fully achieved the meyer effect, are you
referring to the lack of transparency or something else?
* menu could improve (I suggested this earlier - make buttons with css as
shown on my site and eliminate the list markers) which would improve the
rollover part of the meyer effect, as would moving the image over to the RHS
* here's a good site for 3 column and 4 column layouts:
http://www.glish.com/css/ very clearly laid out (also note that some layouts
have fixed widths, others are fluid)
* are you planning to have alternate style sheets as Laurie and Meyer have
done?
in firefox: view > page style > meyer has 5 different style sheets

thanks for showing me how to centre the whole page, I've been searching for
that for a while now

I'm thinking of having a crack at 3/4 column layouts and meyer effect myself
- don't want to get left behind :-)
