[Yr7-10it] What do e-learning coordinators do ?

The job title itself is not an issue, I find the hardest part is actually getting information from staff when requested!
My title is not actually the one you are after, but my role description is essentially the same(its a decent list!).
 
Resistance to change..not really an issue..
Ability to change..THATS the challenge for some staff!  (Old habits...)
 
ps. Age of myself?  Closer to 50 than 40!

I've seen an eLearning position advertised in the Geelong region also. It sounds like a lot of work considering you still need to consider resistance to change by a portion of teachers (I won't use the age reference - I know of a teacher under 30 who is completely useless when it comes to technology). 

Still, other definitions would come in handy. Is anyone currently in a similar role who has some feedback?

Hi Paul,
 
 At what level is the job being offered ? Is it at leading teacher ( state system ) or as a special payment ?
Your focus is pretty spot on. Rightly or wrongly some schools have the broad statement of elearning coordinators being responsible for "embedding digital learning in the curriculum".
So, I can only assume that would mean rewriting the curriculum for each course to "embed the use of ICT in the curriculum". That is no mean feat and would require a coordinated approach from each leadership and curricuum person to work together.

	Run the moodle, and school website, organize ICT PD for staff on podcasting, vodcasting, and other things, Review software and technology, formulate strategic plans, team-teach helping teachers out with software and technology, and ??????
