On a more immediate note, next Friday week, July 31 is the date for the closing of the call for papers for the VITTA conference in November this year.

This year's conference is back at Flemington Racecourse and follows on from the most successful conference program to date last year.

VITTA is the largest annual K-12 ICT conference in Australia with approx 1200 delegates and over 200 presenters attending over three days.

Professional learning offerings include

ICT student and career pathways

Strategies to assist in the teaching of senior, middle and junior levels of ICT specialist studies
Interdisciplinary learning and ICT immersion and integration
Technicians day Wednesday
Mobile learning
Digital content and creation for the classroom
The latest in Music technology and digital learning
ICT leadership for principals, eLearning and curriculum directors

Keynotes include Dr. Larry Johnson, the CEO of New Media Technologies who publish the influential, annual, international Horizon Report on emerging technologies.

Go to http://www.vitta.org.au/conferenceinfo/cid/112/parent/0/pid/1/t/conferenceinfo/title/slide-to-open-digital-learning-themes

and then click on the "Call for papers" on the left hand side.

It would be great to have a strong contingent from the Edulists once again presenting at the conference. VITTA members are integral to the success of our conference in terms of both presenting and attendance. This is an ideal opportunity to show what contemporary learning looks like in the modern Australian classroom.

Best wishes

Phil
