Registrations for the 3in6 competition will be closing soon. If your school
wants to participate in this fun, interactive award for school students,
then you must register by Sunday 22 October. There is no obligation to then
participate or part with your hard earned dollars. Register your group of
students by sending an email to office at vitta.org.au and specifying the
specific category that you would like to participate in. For more
information about rules, key dates and archived sample footage please visit

3in6 is a video / animation competition for teams of school students. They
are told two secrets and must include them in a video that they make - one
will be an object or idea, and the other will be words that must be spoken.
Students work closely together in a team to plan, film, edit and create a
short video. In a race against time and other Australian teams, they have
just 6 hours over one school day to complete their 3 minute production (or
in the case of the animation component 1 minute production).

Students are expected to learn something from working together and have fun
with minimal teacher supervision. It doent need fancy hardware or software,
just good IT and organisational skills sprinkled with a dash of creativity
and innovation. It is not a secondary school thing, we have had a winning
entry submitted by a primary school in WA.
