would it be worthwhile checking these out closely?
anyone done this?
this would be a free distro and the skill transfer from these to photoshop
might be quite close
might provide more leverage for reluctant photoshop addicts to use GIMP?

wikipedia says that GimPhoto is based on a more recent GIMP
