>From a fairly recent DE&T memo:

"Now available online at http://epotential.education.vic.gov.au <http://epotential.education.vic.gov.au/> , the ePotential ICT Capabilities Resource provides teachers, principals and professional learning leaders with information relating to the ICT capabilities of teachers. It also provides digital resources to support professional learning, designed to build on each teacher's level of capability. Teachers can use the ePotential Resource to access:

o a dynamic online survey tool that immediately and privately identifies their individual ICT capabilities (completing the survey takes around 20 minutes)

o relevant digital resources supporting the increased integration of ICT for powerful learning and teaching

o an online interactive journal and action planning tool to support their professional learning needs.

.......enquiries, please email epotential at edumail.vic.gov.au"

Have no idea what this is like, or whether it is available to the non-govt school system, but might be worth checking out?

Cheers
Sheryl

Hi there

I have another question that I hope some one can answer. We are
looking at improving our staff ICT skills. Does anyone have a skills
audit or a set of skills listed that they expect their staff to have?

Thanks for your help. It makes the load a bit easier to carry :)

Hello Sylvia,

I'm not sure if this will help you. Our technicians uploaded this IT grid.
I'm not sure where they got it from or if they created it themselves. Each
staff member can go in and fill it in and then save it under their profile.
They can re-visit it and update it as they learn new things.

It's pretty easy for the IT staff, but other staff find it helpful in
identifying some of the skills they might need to develop or enhance.

Let me know if it can't be viewed properly.

Hope its helpful.

Litsa
