[Yr7-10it] RE: [Year 12 IPM] Website projects

A little twist I enjoy adding to my students' digital portfolios is a
before-after ideas thing. To give an example:
One web page may be destined to receive finished products from a
student's Paint Shop Pro layering project. I invite them to write some
text indicating what they would like to learn to be able to do in this
area (maybe after viewing a few inspirational classic examples of wow!
products). Then they display a few samples of what they have created.
then they write some text in which they blog what they achieved, and
what they would like to develop further in this area at some time in the
future. My whole point is to let them experience the
experiencial-learning journey, to see this episode as just one blip in
their exciting life, and to take control over what they learn. One could
say that this is meta-learning-cognition perhaps.
Regards, Keith
