[Yr11 Information Technology] Unit 2 - Outcome 2 Programming

Hi Litsa,

In the last 2 years, we've just moved from VB.NET to Python, and we still cover the same concepts. So the VCAA should not have a problem with different languages as they are both in the study design as options. However, once they progress into Software Development, teaching two languages at the same time, in the same class will be difficult.

Subject: [Yr11 Information Technology] Unit 2 - Outcome 2 Programming

Hello -

would it be allowed for Year 11 students to select either VB or Python for their programming unit?

I may have 2 groups of students in the one class that gravitate to one language over the other.

If I can manage to deliver context equally, and assess them accordingly, does VCAA allow that?

Thank-you,
Litsa 🍏
