Instead of teaching Y11 IT and IT Application s in the same class I have taught It Applications to everyone. Of course you will need to seek permission from parents and students. It can also have implication for 2016 y12 class. The option in 2016 could be to teach Software Development. I have taught VET IDM in a combined class for several years and it works ok. However VET IDM is more hands on.

Hi
Im also in the same position and am thinking that I will rearrange the outcomes to suit the year 12 timeline. It is not the best situation for me as you tend to focus on Year 12 students. I would also like to see what others do in this situation

Hi all

I have been teaching Year 11 and 12 IT for a few years now and they have always been separate classes. Unfortunately for 2015 it looks like the numbers have decreased and I have been given a combined Year 11 and 12 IT class (Year 12 IT Apps). Was just wondering for those that have done this before, can you please give me advice or guidance on how you made this work.

I know that some of the Area of Studies for both courses kind of overlap but not completely and not at the same times.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
