Is Scratch on the list of languages? I might abandon PHP if it is. BTW have
any of you played with Story Telling Alice?

The students will enjoy some of the funky stuff I am doing with Python,
Ren'PY or Scratch. Ooodles of resources online. You can just google the
details.

You could instead teach them VBA and combine it with PowerPoint. It makes
some really funky things possible in PPT and is great for interactive
digital stories, pretty simple to learn and is still a scripting language.

This site www.*mindtools*.*tased*.edu.au has some great basic tutorials to
get started.
