If you are unable to attend a training course on actionscript, an
alternative is a training CD from Centennial Media. The cost of the
disk(s) covers a site licence for the school (and is about the cost of a
commercially run training course). I have used the actionscript training
from the Macromedia Flash CDs with some success - found it best for
staff training though. OK with students if you use short specific topics
as a demo, and then give the students a task to do. Site is

Also attached is a teaching schedule for Unit 1 IT - teachers are
welcome to adapt it to their needs if it's useful. We are using the text
by Fitzpatrick, Keane, Lawson and Scott - the page references are for
this text. Unit 2 is not complete yet and I'm still working on my
Software Development schedule! 

 

The new VITTA resource CD is also very helpful if anyone needs
resources.

Hi everyone

 

pls excuse cross-posts

 

i know it seems like a long time away, but in Unit 2 IT we have an
outcome on programming and/or actionscript

 

this is outside my field of expertise - ive played with actionscript in
flash but not in any systematic kind of way and i havent done any
programing since 1st year Uni in 1990

 

can any1 suggest some good self-help tutorials i could downloand and/or
workshops i might attend?
