[Visual Communication and Design] VCD Exam Preparation and Folio Presentation Workshop - Wednesday 24 September

The Academy of Design is offering the following workshop to assist year 12
students with their preparations for the VCE Visual Communication Design
exam and tertiary interviews. Presenters are all accomplished educators and
leaders in their field.

 Students are invited to bring their folio and get constructive feedback
from top creative educators on presentation, finish, design principles and
aesthetic focus.

$45 fee includes:

1 hour tutorial on exam preparation for:
€ Visual Communication & Design
 
by Kristen Guthrie
Kristen is both an experienced teacher of Visual Communication Design and
Graphic Designer. She has been closely involved in the development, teaching
and evaluation of VCE Visual Communication since its introduction to the VCE
curriculum. She has worked in curriculum development and assessment with the
VCAA and is passionate about design education. Kristen is the author of the
popular textbook, ŒNelson Visual Communication Design: VCE Units 1 ­ 4¹ now
in its third edition as well as the accompanying student workbook. She is
currently Head of Arts at Woodleigh School on the Mornington Peninsula.

Plus 1 session covering Tertiary Interview Tips
 
Plus 1 session on the folio. Students select from one of the following
specialisations:

€ Fashion & Costume Design
€ Filmmaking & Photography
€ Graphic & Digital Design
€ Visual Arts
