** DATTA Vic's State-wide design competition is open NOW for Textiles students - your students could win a Bernina 700D Overlocker worth $799!

Dear textiles teachers,

Just a reminder you only have until the 18th of September to submit your students' work from the SYTYCD school based challenges!

Remember, SYTYCD is a great way to engage your textiles students in the Product Design Process in a fun, hands-on way. Taking part will communicate the importance of the learning area to your school community,and give teachers new ideas and approaches to teaching and learning. It is open to all students in Years 10 & 11.

Short-listed students will compete in our live finals, to be held at our Maker Space (http://vic.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7ed735b6928a1ab8d30e6f12a&id=93769ebcc5&e=72c5bdb1d3) conference on December 3rd.

The 2 winning students will receive a Bernina 700D Overlocker (http://vic.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=7ed735b6928a1ab8d30e6f12a&id=5d5504986a&e=72c5bdb1d3) and a trophy for their school, and an accompanying teacher gets free admittance to the DATTA Vic conference. Entry to SYTYCD is FREE.
